Meet Dr. Freddie J. Jack and Lady Rita M. Jack. Dr. Jack was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Freddie & Lucinda Jack in Baton Rouge, LA. A 1971 graduate of Ville Platte High School, he attended Southern University. He earned his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology Degrees from Christian Life School of Theology of Columbus, GA. He earned his Master of Divinity Degree from Beacon University, also of Columbus, GA. He also received his doctorate in Biblical Studies from Kennedy University.
He has been married to Rita Freeman Jack since 1974. He is also a father, father-in-law, and grandfather.
Dr. Jack began his preaching ministry on January 27, 1983, at the Greater Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Ville Platte under the leadership of Dr. Herman Arvie. Called to the pastorate in 1993, he currently pastors the St. John Baptist Church of Ville Platte. He has served effectively in that capacity since 1993 and at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Elton, LA, since 1994.
Outside of his direct pastoral responsibilities, Dr. Jack is a man of the people, serving when and where he can. He serves on various boards and committees, including:
President Emeritus – Seventh District Missionary Baptist Association
President Emeritus – Ville Platte Ministerial Alliance
Southwest Regional Vice-President - Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention
And a host of other titles, duties, and responsibilities, too many to name.
When not immersed in the Word and in the nurturing of God’s people, he loves to enjoy his hobby. He is an avid outdoorsman.
